This dog has been the cause of MANY MANY TEARS! All of the sudden .. about 2 weeks ago Hannah really started having an attachment to this dog. She never even cared about it before. Patrick actually gave it to her for her birthday... probably her first birthday. Anyway... The past 2 weeks.. we have been trying to name this poor dog. We have gone thru Rufus... Sam.. Spot.. you name it we have tried. Hannah will ask.. "whats this dog's name going to be".. we reply with a name.. she tries calling the dog the name for a while.. and suddenly.. it doesnt work. So a few days ago she decided her name will be Maggie. Maggie can't stay home alone, Maggie can't stay in the bedroom alone, she has to be IN BED with Hannah.. or Hannah can't sleep... She had to go to church.. (I won and made her stay in the car).. It is actually quite funny to see the attachment with this stuffed dog. Well yesterday we took Maggie to Grandma Beal's house for dinner. When we got in the car to go home .. we started down the street and Hannah suddenly realized that Maggie is not there. I told her that we would go back to Grandma's house in the morning and get her. She was sad for a minute, but that seemed to be fine. Bed time came rollin' around and you would have thought that someone died. The most heart broken girl I have ever seen came barrel'in out of her room... HUGE aligator tears. Usually I'm not really a sucker for dumb drama like that.. but I felt so bad. I have never ever seen her so heart broken. She was devistated that Maggie wasn't there. I told her that I was sure that Grandma was taking good care of her.. and we would go get her first thing in the morning. That wasn't good enough. She could barely even talk and asked me if I would go call Grandma and make sure that she let Maggie sleep with her.. in her bed... that no one took her.. and that she was nice all night. So I called Grandma.. told her the scoop.. and let her talk to Hannah. As I listened to their conversation I watched Hannah smile.. then giggle.. hearing them talk about Maggie having a sleep over.. watching cartoons in bed...eating waffles in the morning (which is Hannah's ritual when she has sleep overs at Grandmas) .. Hannah replied to Ann.. Just "tatend" grandma.. just "tatend".. which is pretend. So this morning first thing out of Hannah's mouth.. before she even had her eyes open... Lets go get Maggie. Ann called to let her know that Maggie slept thru the night.. she was really nice.. and also has a surpise for Hannah when she picks her up. So OF COURSE we rush right to Grandmas to get her. Grandma tied 2 cute brown bow's in Maggies ears. Hannah laughed until I thought she was going to pee her pants. OOOHH AM I GLAD MAGGIE'S HOME!!!
