Back in the game!

I have got to get back in the blogging game. I am such a slacker! A friend of mine started a new thing, "a picture a day". She isn't into blogging, but really good at journaling. She is taking a picture a day, and writing about it. At this stage in my life a picture a day seems a little daunting, and unrealistic. I was thinking maybe if I shot for 3 pic's a week, and blogged about them on Sunday... that could possibly work! So here is my first attempt!

This pic is really kind of dumb, but I need to document my little "project." I stumbled across an organization blog the other day and she was in the middle of a GREAT project!! The reason this appealed to me so much in this crazy stage of my life is that I am in a serious NESTING phase!! This woman was doing a 40 bag in 40 day challenge. Since I don't think I have 40 days before this baby gets here, I changed mine to 30 bags in 30 days.
In 30 days, I hope to have gone through EVERY closet, drawer, cubboard, shelf and toy box. In 30 days I hope to have 30 garbage bags full of the following:

*Items to donate to the D.I or a yard sale
*Actual garbage/items that can be considered garbage, and actually thrown into the garbage... OUTSIDE... where they can NOT be retrieved by little hands.
*Items that can go into storage.

I am into this project almost 1 week and I just filled my 11th garbage bag!! Whoot Whoot!! I am feeling SO good about the progress!! When I first thought about doing this, I thought.... "there is NO way I have that much unnecessary stuff"... THINK AGAIN! When you get right down to it, the items that have been sitting on that shelf, untouched since we moved in here 2 years ago... they REALLLLLY don't need to be there.

This was today. What the...? Snow? Really? Its April 1st. Mother Nature's way of playing a trick I guess. Makes me quite irritated. The kids have had a blast though. They have been sledding at the park (with Natalie). This fat mom sure doesn't have the energy. They built this adorable snowman, who will be a puddle of water tomorrow, and they have just wandered in the snow all day. Lucky for them, the part of my 30 day challenge that included packing up the snow clothes was supposed to be last monday, but I have yet to make it to that closet.





Aaaaaaannnd.... The final pic of this week. It isn't quite ready. I need to post a preg pic of myself.... but I have been in my "gut the closet" mode all day, and I look as if I have been hit by a truck, and have stuck my finger in a light socket. So, now that I have a spot for that pic... I HAVE to get one. The kids are having their weekly sleep over at grandma's house tonight... which means maybe I should get dressed up (maybe just a shower, some clean clothes and makeup) and go out on a hot date with my hot husband. And MAYBE, just maybe at that point, maybe I will take a pic. Sooo tonight.. I shall post that picture!
