Our nightmare continues....

Sooo remember a few months back.. in my "house drama" post when I mentioned that our bathroom remodeling project turned into the project from hell? Remember when I said that the drain in the tub wasn't done correctly.. causing the water to come crashing thru the ceiling.. causing our major water damage.. and our ceiling to have to be re-sheetrocked.. and painted? Well the plumbing company had to pay for all the repairs.. that were quite pricey. Welllll Thursday night, Jesse and I had just headed upstairs for bed when we heard a loud CRASH.. and water running and spashing. We both went barreling downstairs to see what in the world had just happened. Our family room ceiling was... ON THE FLOOR.. and water was running out from all sorts of directions! Our carpet was SOAKED.. our couches.. SOAKED.. and it all smelled like MILDEW! It was quite the mess. We were both SOOO mad! We broke out the shop vac.. every towel we own.. and every bucket we could find, and started the clean up. We got the water stopped and cleaned up as far as we could. By now it was after midnight. I called the plumbing company and told them what was going on and told them to send someone by first thing in the AM. The next morning the plumbing company came back to check out the damage. They ended up hiring a disaster crew.. the kind that comes when your house burns down.. or you have a massive flood. They tore up our carpet.. had to do a massive disinfectant.. for mold purposes.. cut down the rest of the falling parts of the ceiling that didn't fall.. but was damaged.. set up 3 HUGE industrial fans.. a de-humidifier..and some other things.. and told us no be out of the house for 4-6 hours for the disinfectant.. and that they had to leave those big noisy fans running until tuesday! THey are worried about mold, rott... and there was lots of water under the BRAND NEW travertine!!!! Sooo pretty much we don't have a house. Its a good thing that Jesse went to St. George.. and the kids and I are in Richfield. What a disaster. So they decied that for the last 3 months.. there has been a slow leak in the drain.. rotting out the floor boards, dry walll.. etc. So the disaster crew will come back on tuesday to re-lay the carpet.. clean it.. and get started on the drywall etc. OHHHHH our luck. I have pictures.. but I will have to post them later.. when I get home... I can't make it work on this computer. Anyway.. HAPPY DAY!

Here is one pic that I had on my phone. Its not very good.. because it's my phone.. but you can kind of get the idea. Only part of the ceiling is gone on this pic... you can see the rest of it bowed clear back to the mirror.. part of that fell a little bit later... OHHH what a mess

Oh my heck! What a nightmare is right! Remember a few months after we moved into our house the same thing happened in our master bathroom, what are the chances. Luckily we didn't have to tear out the ceiling in the family room, we just had boards and 2x4 everywhere holding it up. I feel for you. I am so sorry. Does the company have to pay for it or are you guys stuck with the bill?
