Ohhhh boy!

Every time I sit down at the computer I get so mad at myself for falling so far behind in my blogging! I am so far behind; I think I will never catch up. I hate getting out of order, so I hold off posting any of our “adventures” until I get caught up. OH WELL… Some day!

I have been meaning to get a post about my Miss Hannah on here, but we have been so crazy busy, I haven’t yet. Last night we had the funniest conversation that we have ever had with her… EVER, so since I need to post that, this will be a Hannah post. One thing that needs to be said about Hannah is that she is a thinker! She is JUST like her dad! She thinks so deep into everything! That’s what makes this story so funny.

Last night we were driving home from Ann and Vaun’s house. The kids were in the back just being their normal, silly selves. A few minutes into our drive, Hannah (who was really quiet for a minute) said, “Mom, when I was a baby in your tummy, how did I get out?” It kind of caught me off guard because I’m SOO not ready for my 4 year old to know some of the amazing things that can be so disturbing to a little mind. I had a c-section with Brady, but not with her. I just told her that I have a scar on my tummy that I will show her. I told her that the Dr. carefully cut my tummy and pulled her out. Soooo, I lied. I think parents should have a few “white lie freebies.” After another minute she said, “Well, why do moms have to have their legs up in those things, and push really hard?” I just told her that the mom has to push, the dr. has to pull, and finally the baby comes out. Jesse was dying! We were laughing so hard because she was really thinking about all of this. She was really in deep thought, and she kept asking question after question. So finally after a few minutes Jesse and I got a hold of ourselves and Hannah seemed satisfied with our answers. About 5 minutes later she said, “Mom, when you got married, was I in your tummy?” I said, “No”. She said, “Well then, how did I get there?” Jesse and I started laughing SOO hard! We could not stop! I didn’t want her to think we were laughing at her, so we told her we were laughing at something else. AHHHH…! To be honest I don’t think I gave her any kind of an answer, so I’m sure its coming again someday soon. I think she is a little to young to understand the facts of life. She JUST turned 4!!

Here are some fun Hannah facts:

She is such a caring little girl. She takes such great care of Brady. If he needs anything, before I can even blink an eye she is getting it for him. Speaking of caring, as I sit here typing she just brought me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that she just made.. and a glass of water! Funny! She is sitting here watching me.. I suppose I should eat it. She does cute little things like this all the time.

She hates to have her hair done, and HATES bows and flowers. She would LOVE to wear basketball shorts and a T-Shirt ALL day, every day! It kind of makes me NUTS.. but its fine.

She lives for her “friends.” It’s really sad that she doesn’t really have very many around here. But with the few that we have, we have a great time!
She loves to watch Franklin, Caillou, Imagination Movers, and Little Bear.

Her favorite colors are Pink, Purple and yellow.

Her favorite movie: All the princess movies.

Her favorite food is Mac n’ Cheese

She loves to do craft projects, and make MESSES! She is such a “project” girl. EVERY day we have to have some kind of a project.

She loves to help me around the house. She loves to sweep, mop, dust, do the dishes, wash window and fold laundry.

She is SOO logical for a 4 year old. She is even more logical than me sometimes. There is no beating around the bush for her. She is a problem solver, usually does it very well, and does it quickly.

She will sit outside ALLL day long waiting for the ice cream man.

She loves to be outside riding her bike.

She is such a sweet girl! We enjoy her so much! She is definitely a bright spot in our family!

Love this girl!!

I miss hanging out with little Hannah. She is so cute and funny. I wonder what I will say when those questions come out of Calvin's mouth?
