For Labor Day this year we didn't really do much. We usually go to Swiss Days in Midway.. but this year we didn't make it happen. Actually 2 years in a row we didn't make it happen. Last year Brady was 5 days old, and this year we just were not feeling it. The weather looked like it might be yucky and the thought of keeping track of my 3 year old in a crowd of people didn't sound to enticing. So we just hung here instead. My sister Kadie came up on Friday and stayed until Monday. She is so darn fun! We rode trax and went to the Gateway on Saturday to do a little shopping and check out a Brazilian festival that was going on there. I think Jesse's heart will always be a little soft for the Brazilian culture.. and of course.. the food.. so we went to check it out. By the time we got done shopping the festivities were almost over. Hannah saw a bunch of little kids running around with their faces painted and she decided this was a MUST! She had to stand in line for 45 minutes or more but she loved it. The painter told her to close her eyes and hold very still. I think that was the longest she has kept her eyes closed without sleeping.. let alone the longest she has ever held still.... the sad thing was.. it was only about 5 or 6 minutes. I got a little video of it.. i'll try to post it on here.. but I always have issues getting video's posted... but I honestly think she was falling asleep.. it was so funny! I'll try to get it posted.
